Dear Mark
Thanks for this suggestion and sharing with the list. It would certainly
be useful to have this functionality; this limits usage of blogs and
journals.
I would also agree with you that BB does seem to be listening to our
suggestions and trying to progress them as much as possible. This
message was very strongly conveyed at the recent BB Europe Conference.
I would encourage others to use the feedback URL that you have shared
with us.
Best wishes to all for upgrades to SP8/9 this summer.

Subject: RSS in Web 2.0 in Bb 9.1?
Anybody else think that we should lobby Blackboard to provide RSS
opportunities in their blogs, journals, wikis? I have been told that
developers etc take note of what appears in
http://www.blackboard.com/Contact-Us/Feedback/Suggest-Product-Enhancemen
ts/For-Learn.aspx and that if the UK has particular needs, then we
should "bombard" Bb with what we want...... Blackboard has also told me
that there are changes in the culture, so maybe this would be a way to
see if that's true...? Just a thought.....

Thank you for your suggestion. We highly value your participation as we
work toward creating better products for you.
For your records, here is your suggestion:
Short description: RSS in Web 2.0 tools
Detailed description:
Really, the developers should be taking a long hard look at their
credentials - or their managers should be thinking hard about the brief.
No RSS facility in blogs, journals, wikis? Come on, Blackboard, try and
keep up with the rest of the world! We need to provide students with
up-to-the minute ideas and this omission makes Blackboard so old-hat. We
need to be able to deliver blogs and tweets in-course - and let students
offer RSS feeds out of their work too. I don't *think* it's rocket
science....
Oh and, for the drop-down list on the submission page "What capability
does this suggestion relate to?" how about adding "Learning"?
Warm regards, The Blackboard Team
