Managing insect pests in your collections

On 26 June Creating Capacity has asked Robert Child of Historyonics
http://historyonics.com/ to return with What's that Beastie?: Understanding
and managing insect pests in cultural collections. This course has been
designed for all staff and volunteers involved with collections, especially
those who may be involved in pest control treatments.
How will I benefit?

In this session you will benefit from learning and sharing with your expert
trainer on:
* The main pests attacking cultural collections
* The damage they cause
* How to identify them
* All of which will give an understanding of Integrated Pest Management
(IPM)
* With the ability to carry out an IPM monitoring programme
* And an understanding of the options for control treatments
Who is the trainer?
----------
Robert Child was formerly Head of Conservation at the National Museum of
Wales. His specialism is in preventive conservation with a particular
interest in insect pest control. As such, he is Advisor on Insect Pests to
the National Trust and a consultant and lecturer internationally. 100% of
those who attended this course in the past said they would recommend it to a
colleague. It is full of fascinating and insightful material. As one
participant said,
'It was a great course - there was so much information you could do a whole
week on it!'
What to do next

The course take place in central London and costs £145 plus VAT. Fees
