This conference will examine the role of women as producers, subjects and consumers of magazines in countries all around the globe. It will also explore magazines as important historical and contemporary records which are being made more accessible by digital technology. Delegates will be able to browse exhibitions from the archives of a number of different magazines and the aim of the conference is to encourage dialogue between scholars from different disciplines and representatives of the modern magazine industry.
