NIHR Research Methods Fellowship at the University of Manchester
A National Institute for Health Research Fellowship in Medical Statistics is available for a highly-talented individual who is seeking two years of research training. The Fellowship is based in the Biostatistics section of the Health Sciences Research Group.
You will be focusing on developing skills and expertise in Medical Statistics and is supervised by Chris Roberts (Professor of Biostatistics) and Graham Dunn (Professor of Biomedical Statistics). Working alongside biostatisticians, health economists, and health informaticians in the Health Sciences Research Group, the fellowship will equip the you with the skills necessary for a career as a statistician working in medical research in the public sector. Joining an active research group, there will be research opportunities and expertise available to support the your methodological development.
The Fellowship includes post-graduate level training and opportunities to develop theoretical, practical and applied skills.
Applicants should have a good (2:1 or above) honours degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics or from other fields that contain substantial mathematical or statistical content. Applicants with an appropriate technical qualification and work experience, or equivalent qualifications, are welcomed.
