Hello Justin,
Justin McKeown:
> I wondered if anyone could point me to any good source material on the image of the Hanged Man from the Tarot?
From this i gather you are studying the variation in iconography in Tarotic images on cards (likely occult Tarot as compared to gaming decks), rather than attempting to come to an aggregate understanding of the variation in *interpretation* of the cards.
> If anyone knows of a good article on this I'd appreciate the link.
The best evaluation that i've seen so far was done by Michael Dummett and I found his description within "The Visconti-Sforza Tarot Cards" to be a decent beginning point in a study of the source material on the Hanged Man image. He refers to Moakley and provides a general estimation of its historical backdrop.
Good luck,
