Some discussion has occurred between myself and members of the MCG committee and others about running two brief seminars about Cookie law responses from the culture sector; I'm currently trying to get this off the ground, and will advise when more is known.
In the meantime, Brian Kelly [UKOLN] was commissioned by JISC to explore the issues, and his piece is the best opening out of the law and possible remedies and strategies. More here: http://www.jisc.ac.uk/inform/inform33/CookieLaw.html
All the best

Hi all,
The deadline for getting yourselves ready is the 26th May so its definitely getting closer :-)
Since we conducted our Cookie seminar (the one Jon Pratty from the Arts Council came along to) we have conducted various audits for both existing and new clients. So far all has gone smoothly and we haven't encountered any issues.
As a reminder we have a free resource available to anyone who wants to get their website prepared in advance of the 26th May:

Kindest regards,
Diana

Yes, I'm wondering about that. Some time back, there was discussion about making representation to Arts Council, DCMS, etc. amongst others who may be able to lobby more strongly in our favour.
Has anything happened on that front?
Regards,
Adrian

Eyup
So tomorrow is May, and ICO's cookie law comes into force.
Wondering if anything has changed since we started the conversation...?
Or...
