Hi Claire,
You might be amused by this:
http://flic.kr/s/aHsjyUVaZH
- illustrates mounting an iPad2 into its own box, using a security 'frame' and kensington lock, and attaching it to a trolley.
All in the interests of 1. spending almost no money 2. having something absolutely reliable as a QR code reader. Not exactly the professional look you are seeking, but thought you might like to know what you started showing me QR codes last year still continues. People do seem to find an 'iPad in a box' less 'frightening' than one not boxed - e.g. when we did a drawing activity. Not sure why, perhaps there is less feeling one is going to break something?
The new iPad is slightly 'thicker' than the iPad2, so be careful when buying a hard case that they can accommodate the new dimensions.
On a more serious point, it is worth using iPads for those with various disabilities as its accessibility options are good.
Annette

Subject: iPad Mount recommendations
Hello there,
I am working on a temporary exhibition as part of UCL's Festival of London and Literature; we would like to incorporate iPads into elements of the exhibition space. I have previously used a bespoke mount maker to create iPad mounts, but in the interest of keeping costs down we are now looking for an off the shelf alternative. It would need to be for an iPad 2/3 so the front facing camera would need to be unobstructed.
Has anyone used off the shelf iPad mounts for any exhibition? Would anyone recommend any specific products?
Many thanks,
Claire
