I have tried comparing images of the 'Titanic' and the 'Mauretania' using
'Google', and my money is more on the 'Mauretania'.
To my mind the profiles of the two ships differ in 3 respects. The
'Mauretania' seems to have a proportionately higher bridge structure, her
upper works appear to go further towards the stern, and her funnels seem to
be proportionately taller and slimmer.
But look for yourself. The best way would be to try to get accurate

Subject: [BRITARCH] is this the titanic ?
my father has been scanning and filing negatives from my deceased
grandfathers estate whilst researching our family history and we were
seeking confirmation that the ship in the photo is the titanic , if so it
will allow us to accurately date the set of negatives
in this image the same ship is in the background
many thanks in advance
