Research Assistant on Mutuals & public service innovation

Following a 2 year ESRC award to carry out research on the role of mutuals and social enterprises in public services innovation, we seek to appoint a researcher. This is a unique opportunity to join a research project that will contribute to thinking on public services and mutual (user or employee owned) organisations, as well as influencing policy and practice.
The post holder will undertake basic research tasks, including: preparing, conducting and analysing the outcome of fieldwork; recruiting interviewees; conducting face-to-face and telephone interviews; transcribing and analysing interviews; conduct statistical data analysis; conducting literature and database searches. Write up results of research and contribute to the production of research reports, briefing papers and publications.
The Centre for Enterprise and Economic Development Research (CEEDR) is a research centre located in Middlesex University Business School. We specialise in research related to social enterprise and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), and are currently leading the Social Enterprise strand of the TSRC, a 5 year £10 million investment by the ESRC and Office for Civil Society.
