The School of Modern Languages is seeking to make an appointment to a Lecturer in French Linguistics. You will have embarked on a research trajectory with outstanding potential and will be able to contribute to the REF2014 national research assessment.
While applications from all subfields of Linguistics are welcome, preference may be given to candidates working in Second Language Acquisition or a related area. You will have native or near-native competence in French and English, as well as having relevant experience of teaching French linguistics. You will contribute, as appropriate, to the School undergraduate programme in French as well as to cross-school postgraduate programmes in Linguistics. You will become part of a team working closely together to deliver high-quality teaching in the multi-disciplinary and multi-language environment of the School of Modern Languages. You will be expected to contribute to the administration of the School.
