Hi everyone-
I am currently working on a book that explores the relationship between
policing/surveillance and hip hop in the U.S., but I'd also like to spend
some time looking beyond America's borders. I wonder if anyone is working
on, or aware of, any research that touches on the policing of hip hop or
any of its constituent elements (e.g., graffiti, break dancing, rap)
elsewhere in the world. I have come across some useful material, including
recent stuff on the Arab Spring protests, but I admit I'm a bit shaky on
what people are working on outside of the U.S.
Any leads or ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Erik
