A postdoctoral position is available immediately for chemical kinetics calculations on several gas phase reactions at the low pressures and temperatures found in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere. The research entails carrying out electronic structure, master equation, and Semi-classical Transition State Theory calculations to predict rate constants, branching ratios, and isotope effects.

The position is available immediately and will remain open until it has been filled. Experience in one or more of the following areas is advantageous: electronic structure calculations, especially multi-reference methods; unimolecular master equation calculations; calculations on kinetic isotope effects. Experience with FORTRAN and script programming is also helpful. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable for a second year by mutual agreement.
Applications should include a CV, a brief description of recent research, a comment on your areas of experience, a list of publications, names of two personal references, and a statement of when you would be available to take the position.
