The following is extracted from Encylopedia Titanica website. I thought it may interest one or two from the list
Mr Harry Gale, 38, was born at Rising Sun, a small hamlet near Harrowbarrow, Cornwall in 1874, the son of Mr Elijah Gale (Tin Miner) and Mrs Maria Gale. The 1881 census shows he was living with his parents and grandparents, Thomas and Rebecca Sandercock. He was brother to Shadrach, Alice and Rachael.
He planned to emigrate to Idaho Springs, Colorado with his brother Shadrach Gale where they were to continue working as miners.
They boarded the Titanic at Southampton as second class passengers under ticket number 28664 costing £21 for them both.
It is probable they travelled with Frederick Pengelly and William Ware, both of whom were from nearby Gunnislake.
Harry was lost in the sinking, his body, if recovered, was never identified.
He and his brother have a fine memorial in the Calstock Churchyard in Cornwall.
