storage info will come through the bdii. one can also find info by querying the indivdual SRms using commands such as lcg-stmd

Strictly, you can do site-local storage accounting with the DPM accounting stuff in the toolkit, but that's deprecated now in favour of the DPM Nagios probes undergoing development at the moment.
Global accounting-wise, there's not a lot, though, no.

Not really.
Atlas of course check the numbers used in the spacetokens using srm calls which is the number they trust. But not sure that if that is accounting or monitoring.
