Has anyone had any information on how this will work locally i.e. will this
be an annual check by an orthopaedic department for symptomatic hip
replacements and all of those with a diameter >36mm, or will some of it -
including obtaining chromium and cobalt levels - be left to GPs?
Does anyone have a list of which prostheses are/were MoM (with head
diameters if possible) so need monitoring - and suitable Codes for the
different types?
And above all - what are the symptoms/signs which go with too high levels
of chromium, cobalt and a combination of the two!
