EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL: HISTORIC ENVIRONMENT RECORD OFFICER

Full-time three year fixed term contract
Information about the county's known and potential archaeological and historic sites, monuments and buildings (heritage assets) are mapped and described in the East Sussex Historic Environment Record (HER) which is used primarily as the basis for considering the possible effects of new development and land use change, and to plan effective conservation . As Historic Environment Record Officer, you will play a major role in enhancing the HER using information from archives and other historical and archaeological resources and responding to enquiries relating to the HER. Whether your background is in archives, archaeology, conservation or planning, you will have excellent research, communication and ICT skills, and will be able to work under pressure, prioritise and deliver within agreed timescales.
