As one who completed the PhD a few years ago, I can still recall the incredible life experience that was my PhD journey. While it was always challenging, always invigorating, and often solitary.....the eureka moments, gruelling work and choices to be made were all part of the experience. However, these (and many other) multi-faceted elements of this journey never made it drudgery; in fact, made the experience even more memorable.
