Everyone who works with books and documents can help them last that little bit longer by knowing the basics: how to store them, how to use them, and what to do in an emergency.
This one day Preservation Advisory Centre course introduces preservation as a series of activities designed to enhance accessibility to collections. It provides overviews of policies, risk assessment, storage, environment, pests, handling, digital preservation and emergency response, as well as guidance on sources of support for preservation and conservation.
Numbers are limited so that there is plenty of time for discussion and to address individual needs.
