Hi,
I am looking for references that deal with the planning and
development of large infrastructure networks in colonial contexts --
preferably roads/highways networks but also interested in electricity
grids, water pipes and rails.
More specifically, I am interested in historical literature that
covers the grand visions and plans of colonial technocrats and
luminaries and the ways in which the development of these
infrastructure networks is used to dispossess native populations.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
All the best,
Omar
PS: If there is interest, I would be happy to compile the results and
send back to the list.
