Leeds Psychogeography Group Talk, Gareth Rees, Tues March 13th 5.15pm
All welcome!
Dear All,
TALK: 'The Secret Life of Hackney & Walthamstow Marshes' by Gareth Rees
Tues March 13th, 5.15pm, University of Leeds
Abstract: Gareth Rees offers a virtual tour of London's East End
marshlands, taking in some of its weirdest, darkest and most comical
places of interest. This 'hole in London' is a place where layers of
time and memory are laid bare, where people come to indulge in private
rituals and illicit acts, and because of this it becomes a fertile
valley for the imagination to grow. He will be sharing his own
interpretation of the marshes and the strange narratives they have
inspired.
