Senior Statistical Predictive Analyst – Salary is negotiable – South East and South West
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and intellectually capable individual for this role working for a leading service provider where your enthusiasm would greatly count.
Role & Responsibilities
• Supporting Products & Propositions, Planning & Decisioning and the Compass teams in optimising the usage of predictive analytics in targeting across inbound and outbound contact strategies
• Creation of descriptive and predictive analytics (e.g. linear regression & propensity models, customer segmentation, data mining and trigger identification)
• Supporting the value steering team in the development of a decisioning framework that maximises customer and value.
• Work in partnership with the Data Management team to ensure that predictive models are implemented accurately, monitored and checked on a monthly basis
• Presenting the predictive modelling output to key stakeholders and influencing its effective use across the operational customer contact systems
• Demonstrate the value added through the usage of predictive analytics
• Mentor and coach less experienced members of the team sharing hands-on knowledge and experience of predictive analytics and usage of models to ensure consistent understanding across the team
• Support the evaluation of identifying new predictive data sources (both internally and externally), techniques and predictive analytics tools
Experience & Skills
• High level of numeracy (educated to at least degree level) and statistical knowledge
• Proficient in SAS software (particularly Enterprise Guide, Miner and Programming)
• Data extraction skills including SAS SQL programming. Strong knowledge in developing SAS Macros
• SPSS experience
• Previous experience in developing propensity model and predictive analytics techniques including regression and time series analysis
• Experience of Data Warehouse technologies
• Commercial acumen and Excellent communication and Presentation skills
• Approachable ‘can do’ attitude to meet the needs of your customers
• Proactive with ability to work on own & with others
• Must have EU working rights to be considered for this role
