Hi Tracy
That's interesting - I would be interested to know where that guidance
came from?
I go by the HSE's categorization scheme.
I agree, we could find ourselves extremely busy with audiometry repeats
if that particular 'quality control measure' was followed.
Kind regards
Pippa

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Audio testing
Good Morning. I have recently been advised of the following regarding
audio testing and was surprised I had not come accross this
recommendation previously;
''19. As a quality control measure, it would be prudent to repeat any
audiogram which showed a difference from the previous result of more
than 10 dB at any frequency.''
Please can you advise what your practices are? I feel that I may be
repeating alot of tests if I do follow this advice. Thank you
