As one of five new appointments in the field of American Studies, you will provide undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in American Art and Design history within the Department of Arts. With an emerging international research profile you will help to drive the Department's commitment to be highly research-active and will deliver first-class teaching on programmes applauded for their excellence by HEFCE and QAA. You will also participate in internal and external networks to contribute to student recruitment and regional engagement.
You will be an early career or established research active academic with a relevant PhD and/or equivalent postgraduate or professional qualification/experience. We expect the appointee to have an emerging international research profile and demonstrate an area of specialism in Art and Design History of the nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first centuries in America. Your own high quality research outputs will contribute to the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF).
