Please see the reply below from Wayne Cocroft:
'20th century fortifications in England' aka the 'Dobinson', hardcopies were distributed to all SMRs/HERs in England and a full set is in the EH library ar Swindon. A number have appeared as books and more are in the pipeline.
For a methodology for recording Cold War research establishments, please see examples in the EH Research Report series. Sites covered include Foulness, Orford Ness, The Needles and Fort Halstead. The eaisest way to find them is to search under author 'Cocroft'. http://research.english-heritage.org.uk/
You should also consult the National Archives on-line archive.
I'm happy to discuss this further off list.

Subject: [BRITARCH] Two quick questions..
... about Cold War matters.
1 Does anyone know if the reams of material Colin
Dobinson provided on military matters through the CBA back in about 2000 are available on-line anywhere?
2 Does anyone here have experience of recording small
Cold War naval weapons development establishments?
I dunno, first I develop into a pylon geek, then a sewage works one, now weapons development....
