A 3-year PhD position is opened in the group of Prof. M-P Gaigeot
at the University of Evry-Paris (France).
The project is funded by the ANR Internationale SPIONCLUS, a joint project
between M-P. Gaigeot (France, theory) and J. Lisy (USA, experiments).
The project consists in DFT-based molecular dynamics simulations of highly
anharmonic ionic clusters, for understanding their dynamics, spectroscopy,
and their formation through collisional and relaxation processes.
The PhD student will get expertises into DFT-based MD and several of its
applications, using both CPMD and CP2K packages.
We seek a highly motivated and talented student graduated from either
physics or chemistry and with a very good knowledge of theoretical chemistry.
Prior knowledge in molecular dynamics (ab initio or classical) would be a plus.
Knowledge and practise of a programmation langage (fortran, C, python, perl,...)
is recommended.
The deadline for applying is : 1st May 2012
