A post is available for 36 months to work in the field of threat agent detection as part of the Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) Proton Ionisation Molecular Mass Spectrometry (PIMMS) funded by the European Commission.
The main objective of the project at the University of Birmingham is to explore underlying ion-molecule chemistry to enhance detection selectivity and sensitivity of proton transfer reaction mass spectrometers under the theme of Homeland Security. This post is full time and fixed-term. The Early Stage Researcher will register for a PhD at the University of Birmingham and will have the opportunity to undertake training and experiments at other sites within the EU Training Network.
