A FREE Open Day provided by Talis Aspire
Delivering on Student Expectations of Learning Resources
10:00 - 15:30 Tuesday 6th March, 2012
Venue: Maple House, Birmingham
Resource and reading lists are nothing new. They've existed in various
forms and formats for decades. Generally, resource recommendations
from academics and educators are scribbled on pieces of paper or
passed in some other way to the library just before the course starts
- and students start demanding the books, and wondering why they're
not on the shelves or in the campus bookshop.
So what's new in the world of resource-list management - and how does
the Talis Aspire Campus Edition resource-list management solution
deliver on student resource expectations?
This Open Day will provide attendees with an opportunity to explore
Talis Aspire Campus Edition - and discover more about Talis Aspire.
As always, our keynote speakers are our customers - people using the
Talis Aspire Campus Edition solution - and helping us to develop it.
June Hedges, Co-ordinator of UCL Library’s Teaching & Learning Support
Section and
Jo-Anne Watts, Liaison Librarian at Keele University
Who should attend?
This Open Day is for those who support others' use of resource and
reading lists: library practitioners and managers in higher
education; university and colleage staff involved in teaching and
learning technology and integration; and in the management of
electronic learning resources for graduate and undergraduate students.
Places on the workshop are FREE
