Registration is now open for the DCC Northeast England data management
roadshow, 23-24 April 2012, Darwin Suite, Centre for Life, Newcastle
upon Tyne, Newcastle NE1 4EP (*).
The Digital Curation Centre is running regional roadshows to support
HEIs with research data management. The Northeast roadshow is being
co-organised with Professor Julie Mcleod, Northumbria University School
of Computing, Engineering, and Information Sciences.
The programme includes an exciting range of speakers who will share
examples of developing research data management services and
infrastructure. A draft programme is available online.
• Day 1 is a general introduction. DCC will provide an overview of the
research data management landscape, and the support on offer to help
develop capabilities in this area. Experiences will be shared through
case studies from institutions in the Northeast to help build a
community of data management expertise.
• Day 2 is a strategic training day of interest to anyone planning
research data management services for their institution or research
faculty/department. The workshop combines short practical introductions
with exercises to help you, whether you are considering the scope of
these services or already initiating change.
Each day can be booked individually. Please pass this invitation on to
colleagues who might also be interested.

We hope you will join us!
