Hello,
I was trying to run a segmentation analysis in VBM8 but I would always get an error message about a DARTEL optimizer file. When I tried to just run the New Segment batch, I would get the same error. Then I tried to recompile our version of SPM8 (64 bit Linux) in a Terminal but that turned out to display an error message suggesting that there was a mexfile that could not be located. Then I tried replacing the src folder in SPM8 with one that I downloaded but the same issue persisted. Finally, I just tried running it through a completely new download of SPM8, but when I tried to do the compilation step I was presented with this same message (amongst other things):
In ../toolbox/DARTEL

I've been using the website http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/SPM/Installation_on_64bit_Linux as a reference but I'm now at a loss as to what to do. Is there some sort of compiler program that I may need to install, or could it be some basic files in MATLab were corrupted? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
