Dear Stephan,
If you are familiar with trl's you can define a trl in your own code
and then use it with spm_eeg_convert or spm_eeg_epochs. Alternatively,
you can convert all the trials but then change their condition labels.
One way to do it would be with the reviewing tool where in info/trials
tab you can paste a list of labels e.g. from Excel, then press
'update' and 'save'. You can also do it with a script, something like:
D = spm_eeg_load('spm8_mydata.mat');
D = conditions(D, 1:3, {'cond1', 'cond1', 'cond2'});
save(D);
