Post-doctoral Research Associate position available for 12 months to work
within the EU FP7 project RECOGNITION: Relevance and cognition for
self-awareness in a content-centric Internet

RECOGNITION aims at developing innovative self-awareness paradigms for the
Future Internet, looking primarily at content-centric networking aspects,
where a radically new approach for embedding self-awareness will be
developed. It is based on cognitive processes for self-awareness, exploiting
that humans are fundamental for high performance autonomic processes. Using
psychological and cognitive sciences as concrete inspiration, RECOGNITION
develops functional models of core cognitive processes. We are currently
looking into information propagation within and between groups, using an
intergroup differentiation concept based on a psychology study.
The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar
with a good background on theory, statistics, machine learning, complex
network data analysis, cognitive science. Good knowledge of English and
communication skills are also desired.
