It's easy to see some superb quick applications of the technology. E.g. a distance learner contacts their librarian/help desk saying they can't find any information on topic X. This way you can quickly show them what you are doing as you take them through a quick search and refinement with improved terms, cover any off-campus access, and show them what comes up so they can repeat it. They ask questions for clarification and you can help to fill gaps in their knowledge. A personalised response that only takes a few minutes but really helps the user. The biggest issues seem to be bandwidth (if the user doesn't have a fast network connection) and issues to do with them accessing the live screenshare/screencast (I have had success with https://join.me/ apart from yesterday when someone within a Government network couldn't see the screenshare at all, probably due to the organisational network settings).
I'm interested in a summary of any responses, David. :-)
Best wishes,
