Dear Allstatters,
Some of you may recognise that I have an unfortunate habit of clogging your
inboxes with posts about my training courses. Obviously I am not the only
training provider on ALLSTAT and I myself am interested in hearing about
other training courses that may be suitable for me. This query is directed
at other providers of public training course on ALLSTAT. By public course,
I mean not an on-site or in-house course for a specific organisation but
courses that anyone can book themselves on to be held on an advertised date.
As far as I am aware, it is normal practice to ask people attending public
courses to pay in advance and certainly this is what I ask my clients. Does
anyone accept payment only after the course is completed? I have had a
booking from a large government department that claims it is normal practice
for them to pay only on completion of the course. I find this bizarre as
all my public sector clients in the past have paid in advance without a
murmur and they understand that the fee is not refundable within a certain
window of the course date. I can envisage a scenario where a client pays a
deposit in advance and the balance on completion but to insist on no payment
in advance does not seem like standard practice to me.
I would appreciate any comments on this issue.
