The University of Manchester is seeking to appoint a Professor of Quantitative Social Research Methods or Social Statistics. The appointed candidate will join the Social Statistics discipline area and will provide academic leadership within the associated research cluster (Centre for Census and Survey Research, CCSR) with respect to both research and the design and implementation of teaching programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Applicants must have established an international reputation in Social Statistics or Quantitative Social Research Methodology, supported by a strong record of published research output and a wider record of achievement. Applicants with specialisations across Quantitative Social Research Methods are invited, but specialisations and approaches that build on strengths within the existing group at CCSR are particularly welcome.
