Hello folks,

Sorry for crosspostings. I have a job suitable for a Masters or PhD student
with professional web development skills. Feel free to pass this around to
anyone in the Melbourne region you feel might suit the role.

Sessional Lecturer - Web Development

Qantm College are seeking a sessional lecturer in web development within
our Bachelor of Creative Media degree. The role will require introducing
our Graphic Design major students to the basics of XHTML and CSS, Ajax,
Flash, CMS technologies and web browser standards. An exposure to animation
and motion graphics would be desirable. A strong grasp of Dreamweaver is a
must.

Applicants should either hold a +1 related qualification (e.g. M.Des or
Ph.D) or be significantly in progress towards completion, and have a
commitment to achieving the learning outcomes sought by the College.
Applicants who also have an extensive professional background in web
development are particularly encouraged to apply.

Ongoing classroom practice mentoring will be provided for the successful
applicant, in a supportive environment dedicated to the academic practice
of teaching, so applicants who wish to begin developing their academic
teaching and learning practice are particularly encouraged to apply.

The total number of weekly contact hours will be 3. Classes for our first
trimester start in the week of the 13th of February, and finish the week of
30th April. There is potential for this position to lead to ongoing work in
future Trimesters, dependant on performance.

A decision will be made, subject to suitable applicants, by the 7th of
February.

For enquiries or applications, please contact: Adam Parker, Campus Academic
Coordinator, Qantm Melbourne
