Subject: Call for presentations and participation : Copenhagen conference & workshop June 11-13 2012
Dear colleagues
We are now formally inviting you to participate and possibly present yourself at:
STRUCTURAL FRAMEWORKS FOR OPEN, DIGITAL RESEARCH
- strategy, policy & infrastructure
Copenhagen, Denmark, June 11-13, 2012
Please see the attached programme and the developing web site at http://conference.nordbib.net
Apart from the invited speakers there will be two workshop sessions and one 5-minute madness session during the 2½ days. Please see the programme for details. The information is summarised below:
From the introduction:
Many different individuals and organisations have each their piece of the overall infrastructural, organisational and political jigsaw puzzle that needs to be assembled before scientific and cultural information and data can be managed, shared and re-used more openly and efficiently. The conference aims to bring these stakeholders together and move closer to a coherent vision for the needed action ahead.
From the invitation to make 5-minute madness presentations:
We invite organisations and institutions active in all aspects of scientific and cultural data to present themselves, their most important project right now and to reach out for partners. Please mark on the registration form at http://conference.nordbib.net that you would like to make a 5-minute madness presentation, what your domain is, what you do and who you would like to reach out to or have reach out to you.
General attendance:
Please see http://conference.nordbib.net<http://conference.nordbib.net/> for details. However, we encourage participants to reflect upon the issues in advance and their institutions' roles in the larger jigsaw puzzles. During Spring 2012, more specific issues to be raised in the two workshops will be forwarded.
