2 x GIS Analysts - £220-£280 - Central london - 1 Junior Analyst and 1 Senior Analyst
Reporting to the Spatial Data Management lead and work with the GIS team and other project teams, to manage the delivery, collation and quality of spatial information.
Assist in the development of spatial data standards and procedures including quality checking and assurance. To support the project through analysis, map production and other related services as required by the Spatial Data Management lead.
Work with the other technical teams for Information Management including CAD, Document Management and BIM.
KEY DUTIES:
Responsible for spatial data integrity and loading data into the GIS geodatabase
Maintain the GIS database in line with the project and industry standards
Perform spatial data translations, analysis and editing where required
Maintain metadata and data catalogue
Respond to map and data requests as required
Develop scripts to derive efficiencies in the GIS processes
Assist in the configuration of web based applications
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
Spatial data is centrally stored and integral to project solutions
Produce high quality GIS products
Ensure uptake of GIS solutions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Eligibility to work in the UK
Qualification in GIS or Geography or similar
Proven large project experience
Proven experience in using Esri ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcEditor or ArcInfo)
Proven experience with Esri extensions including Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst
Proven experience in administering ArcGIS for Server (SDE) geodatabases
Excellent cartographic skills
Excellent QA/QC knowledge and implementation
Knowledge of web based solutions desirable
A good understanding of coordinate systems essential
Understanding of CAD data format
Knowledge of Esri mobile solutions an advantage
Knowledge of GeoCortex Essentials an advantage
