Seventeenth Joint Postgraduate Theology and Religious Studies Conference
'Spreading the Word'
Friday 9 and Saturday 10 March 2012 at 3-5 Woodland Road, Bristol, BS8 1TB
This conference seeks to bring together postgraduates and early-career academics working on the study of religions from a variety of perspectives and disciplines, creating a space for them to share their work and to further encourage research and collaboration within the University of Bristol (the host institution), and among members of other universities within the South West region and beyond.
Submissions
While we encourage applications that directly address the theme of the conference 'Spreading the Word', in all its possible interpretations, contributions are welcome from all disciplines and areas related to the study of religions: theology, history, anthropology, sociology, archaeology, literature, art, music, etc. Please send proposals for paper and poster presentations (maximum 300 words) in .rtf or .doc format to [log in to unmask] by 12 noon UTC, Friday 27 January 2012. Submissions must include the authors name, affiliation, status (for example, PhD student, MA student, etc), and email address. Please note that an applicant may submit a paper as well as a poster presentation and that both may be accepted, on the condition that they cover two different areas of research (though they may be related to one another).
