Hi all
The request below appeared on the PSCI-Com list, but it occurred to me that someone here on Mersenne might be able to help. If you can help then it's probably easiest if you reply to Toby (copied above) directly...

Subject: [PSCI-COM] 60 Year old Government Pamphlet - Historian of Sci Comms needed
Hi
I am on the track of a pamphlet rumoured to have been published around
sixty years ago by the UK Government that describes what citizens need
to know about science. Possibly a very early attempt a PUS and probably
very didactic. It may have been written with the help of some of the
Brains Trust scientists of the day such as Magnus Pyke or Jacob
Bronowski. I don't have any more information than that I'm afraid and
I'm hoping it will ring a bell with someone who has a better knowledge
of scicomms history than I.
Any hints, tips or nudges gratefully received.
Many thanks
Toby
