KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE FELLOW WORKING WITH REACT, THE AHRC CREATIVE ECONOMY HUB FOR THE SOUTH WEST.
REACT
REACT is a collaboration between the University of the West of England, Watershed Arts Trust, (and its subsidiary iShed), and the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter. It reaches across two dynamic UK regions, and uniquely across three cultural areas and two languages and creative economies. Together we will generate a transformation in arts-driven economic and social impact by combining demand from the Creative Economy (CE) with Arts and Humanities (AH) research excellence. Through REACT we will pioneer a new model of dynamic creative interaction: Sandbox. This agile, flexible mechanism will be used to undertake over 60 AH KE projects that will create sustainable partnerships to
generate opportunities for the Creative Economy and build HEI KE capacity and change HEI cultures. Engaging with large numbers of relatively isolated businesses- geographically, organisationally and commercially- presents a particular challenge, which the networking model at the heart of REACT is designed specifically to address.
The post
The Fellowship, which will run for the period of the AHRC Hub funding (four years), will have three main functions in order of priority:-
1)To manage the evaluation processes integral to the hub’s operation in order to provide data evidencing our Key Performance indicators, including the production of 12 REACT ‘Case Studies’
2)To manage the online communications of the Hub in order to maximise internal coherence and external profile.
3)To undertake research and publication into Creative Economy Value Networks.
