So you mean the "Specify Experiment Types" tab in the Experiments:
Experiments (modal) dialog when you are opening a spectrum? And that is
presumably happening to you in, for example, the Type Synonym column? And
if the drop down disappears do you mean that if you double click it is not
re-appearing? And does this behaviour also happen with the non modal
version of the dialog? (So once the spectrum is open, you can change the
experiment type via the Experiments --> Experiments dialog, so it is the
same thing only not modal.)
