Call for papers
Dear Sir/ Madam
Asian Women seeks submissions for recent gender issues such as women and welfare, women's rights, eco-feminism, health, women and bio-technology, women and history, men's studies and other relevant themes in gender studies, slated for publication in 2011 issues.
Asian Women is accepting submissions for 2012 Spring and Summer issues with a general theme. Submissions for general issues are most welcome all the time.
Asian Women is an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural journal, which is published in English by the Research Institute of Asian Women at Sookmyung Women's university, Seoul, Korea. Asian Women was selected for coverage in the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) in 2008.
Asian Women, an interdisciplinary journal covering various Women's Studies, Men's Studies and Gender Studies themes, hopes to share intelligent original papers as well as case studies with you.
Also, any contributions of theoretical papers, regional reports, or case studies based on feminist studies and Asian studies will be welcomed. The editors welcome submissions that are based on either collaborative or independent scholarship. They also receive submissions from a wide variety of Asia and other countries. Contributors need to send their manuscripts to the Research Institute of Asian Women any time. The followings are the guidelines.
Guidelines for contributors /Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to [log in to unmask], and should be in Microsoft Word format.
Submissions are considered for publication only on the understanding that they have not been published previously,
that they are not currently under consideration elsewhere for publication, and that any previous form of publication and any current consideration (for publication), in English and other languages, are disclosed.
General Format: APA (American Psychological Association) style
1. Manuscripts (around 25 pages) should be typed on one side of the paper, double-spaced, 12 point font on standard-sized paper (A4 paper) with margins of 1 inch on all sides. Because the review process is anonymous, author’s name and all materials that identify author to the reviewer should be removed from manuscript and appear only on a separate title page.
2. A separate title page should include the title of article, the author’s name, institutional affiliation, complete mailing address, e-mail address and author’s telephone number.
3. An abstract of no more than 300 words must be supplied with the article, and a list of 4-5 keywords must be provided directly below the abstract. The abstract and keywords should be typed on a separate sheet of paper.
4. A brief biographical note describing the author’s research interests and recent publications is to be typed on a separate sheet.
Yours Sincerely,
Research Institute of Asian Women
