Thanks again Stephen,
I have tested this OK (though it is hard to emulate some of the quirks of my clients PC, I'll have to try it in anger), certainly a useful tool to be able to try. I was also able to set it up to run from startup [1] (so I assume it would be avaliable at the log-on screen - useful for on-screen keyboards/other access? Not tested this...).
Cheers
Simon

Hi All,
Thanks to 'sevenforums.com' there is a User Account Control workaround that can be used with Point-N-Click on Windows 7.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11949-elevated-program-shortcut-without-uac-prompt-create.html
To run Point-N-Click at login without a UAC prompt, move or copy the Point-N-Click Task shortcut you created to the Startup Folder.
By the way, this workaround also cures the Windows 7 On-Screen-Keyboard drag lock problem.
Cheers,

Aha, thanks Stephen! I did actually look at that page, but managed to completely miss this (I blame the horrible blue background!).
I'll test that out when I can, but my gut feeling is that this doesn't explain my problem with Chrome and the Windows OSK?
Cheers

Hi Simon,
I know the Point-n-Click web page is lengthy; http://www.polital.com/pnc/ but I suggest you take a look at the 'known issues' near the top of the page as that should explain your Windows7 problem regarding UAC.

Hi All,
Does anyone have experience of a dwell clicker that works on Win7? I have just tried a couple on a clients PC - (Sensory Software Dwell Clicker and Point-N-Click) and they both exhibit the same (Very weird) problems:
- Unable to click on the Access Control popups (when a program asks permission to do something nasty (or mostly not) to the computer)
- Unable to click on some controls on some software (e.g. Chrome controls for close, minimise etc).
- When left clicking on the windows on screen keyboard top bar, it drags the window and will not drop it.
I've not tried to replicate this on another machine yet (lazy and we've not many Win7 devices!)... Anyone come across this and/or got any recommendations for Win7 compatibility - including the Clikka mouse of a previous post - Steve, have you tried this in anger?
I will alert the developers to these issues...
Happy Christmas to all!
Cheers,
Simon
