Devon Heritage Services are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Archivist to join our team as we develop an integrated heritage service for the county of Devon with a range of partner organisations. You will be a graduate with a Diploma, or equivalent, in Archive Administration. The main purpose of the role is to participate in preserving, promoting and making accessible the archival heritage of Devon and to contribute to the maintenance and development of the heritage service. You will be responsible for the full range of archival duties, including accessioning and cataloguing, producing finding aids, overseeing the operation of the public search room, answering personal and remote enquiries, advising potential donors and depositors, preparing outreach and education materials, including exhibitions and displays, delivering talks and lectures, undertaking community archive work and assisting with the training and supervision of volunteers. Some weekend working is required.
