(1224495) Full Time: The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £31,905-£32,778 per annum depending on skills and experience, inclusive of London Allowance.
The post is initially funded for 2 years.
This new post provides an exciting opportunity for a research statistician who may be at the start of their career. The combination of being a key member of an established research group and exposure to a variety of other research studies via the consultancy service will give the successful applicant wide-ranging experience.
The post-holder will be responsible for conducting statistical analyses of data from the EU-funded EuroCoord network on Enhancing clinical and epidemiological HIV research in Europe through cohort collaboration (www.eurocoord.net<http://www.eurocoord.net>). They will also work with the Statistical Support Service (SSS) providing one-to-one consultancy advice to other research staff at the joint institutions utilising some of the wealth of interesting studies undertaken within the hospital.
The postholder must have an MSc and/or BSc in Statistics. The postholder must have applied health research experience using a variety of statistical methods and experience of writing papers for peer-reviewed journals. PhD (or working towards a PhD) in epidemiology, statistics or other relevant public health science is required, however an exceptional candidate who's eligible to register for a PhD in the area, could also be offered the post as a developmental/training role. In this case, they would be appointed as a Research Assistant at Grade 6 point 24-26, on the UCL salary scale (£27,907 - £29,435 per annum).
