This side it’s a large execution block,
terminating The Cove spectacularly.
The head goes in at the North, where the sand is,
the body, awaiting its separation, at the South
over the cluttered rock, legs out in water.
There’s even a restraint that would swing down from East,
holding the neck still to receive its blow.
In this description, the stones left lying about
are members of the public, entertained,
as small as starlings by the comparison.
