Thanks Jo, nice to have some clarification on what the ruling actually
means rather than what GCC want it to mean. Let's hope others take
note.

Subject: Public Interest Lawyers Briefing Note on Libraries Ruling
Dear all,
Friends of Gloucestershire Libraries have received a briefing note from
Public Interest Lawyers, which explains in more detail the practical
implications of the Gloucestershire and Somerset library cuts High Court
ruling. It helps counter some of the misunderstandings of the ruling
which are being made public by the GCC administration, the LGA, and in
the local and national media. The briefing is posted on our website here
http://foclibrary.wordpress.com/2011/12/06/briefing-note-from-public-int
erest-lawyers-gloucestershire-libraries-ruling/
We are still waiting for the final judgement transcript - there have
been some delays obtaining this due to the judge's schedule, but as soon
as we have it we will distribute.
Regards
Johanna
