Dear all,
At our campus library, we have recently moved from a separate service point and an enquiry desk to a single help point. This means all staff serving students need to know about our circulations procedures, and that all staff can be asked enquiries that would traditionally have been answered by our qualified librarians at the enquiry desk.
We did some training over the summer last year, and will be looking to do updates next summer. We think that it could be more helpful to staff to have some training delivered in the form of online learning objects that they could work through themselves. We’re looking at using Camtasia, screencast software which captures screenshots and allows animation and audio to be attached to create a presentation, to do this.
Does anyone have experience of using screencast software to create online learning objects for internal staff training? If so it would be great if you could email me directly ([log in to unmask] )to let me know what you done and how you think it went - with any handy hints or tips.
Many thanks,
Amy.
