Neil Lawrence and I are advertising a Postdoctoral Position applying
probabilistic modelling and Bayesian statistical inference to problems
in computational systems biology. The post is on a EU funded project
with international partners from UK, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
The focus of the project is bridging the gap between mechanistic and
data driven models in the context of computational systems biology.
The project would suit someone with a strong technical probabilistic
modelling background and an interest in applications in Computational
Biology. You would joint an active research group with six PhD
students and three other post-doctoral research associates. The group
is based in a new state-of-the-are research facility at the University
of Sheffield across the Department of Computer Science (faculty of
Engineering) and the Department of Neuroscience (Faculty of Medicine).
