Dear Martin,
I *love* it. It makes entering all the metadata worthwhile ..
That did make me smile!
This is a fabulous visualisation and an even more fabulous piece of data analysis. And even better, as Martin says at the end of his blog post, now he has a refined data source it opens up the possibility for lots of other types of data queries and visualisations. What a lovely Christmas present!
Cheers

I'm looking at it remembering all the OpenSpires OER mini-projects we did from 2009 onwards ...
Keep up the detailed blog posts. Great reading.
I'd be *really* interested if you could blog on what data is missing from your perspective looking at UKOER as a whole ...

Subject: UKOER as you've never seen it before
As part of the OER Visualisation Project for JISC CETIS I've made this
video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekqnXztr0mU which visualises
'ukoer' deposits to Jorum (each white dot is a resource - they fade
out over time to allow more to be shown).
Details on how this data was obtained using Google Refine are here
http://mashe.hawksey.info/2011/12/google-refining-jorum-ukoer/
[It's already been christened the 'snowflake' video, so consider it as
my e-card to you all ;)]
